Le New National Theater-Tokyo & Le Logoscope présentent
En mai 2013, le Logoscope a accueillit JAPON Dance Project, sous l’impulsion de sa directrice artistique Mimoza Koïke (plateforme des arts de la scène) qui est aussi danseuse principale de la Compagnie des Ballets de Monte-Carlo.
Lors du All Nippon Ballet Gala, en 2012, Mimoza rencontre et collabore avec quatre danseurs chorégraphes japonais de très haut niveau - Yasuyuki ENDO (Ballet National de Marseille), Naoya AOKI (danseur et chorégraphe freelance), Masahiro YANAGIMOTO (danseur et chorégraphe freelance), Hokuto KODAMA (Royal Ballet de Suède) - tous engagés dans le monde professionnel de la danse, certains à l’international et d’autres au Japon.
Ils décident alors de s’associer pour travailler ensemble et mettent en place JAPON Dance Project en collaboration avec Agnès Roux, directrice du Logoscope et Noriko Katayanagi-Bonafede comme manager.
Les 30 et 31 août 2014, ils présenteront leur nouvelle création chorégraphique intitulée CLOUD/CROWD au New National Theater-Tokyo.
Sur l’invitation du New National Theater-Tokyo qui a produit cette création, les cinq danseurs-chorégraphes de Japon Dance Project se sont appuyés sur l’idée suivante : sous le même ciel, nous sommes entrain de vivre un temps différent. Ces autres au bout du fil, au loin, toujours connectés… Nous sommes tellement serrés… Virtuellement globalisé… Pourtant nous sommes si éloignés. Je suis ici. Tu es là. Alors comment se joindre ?
Il est aussi question de croiser les singularités de chacun ainsi que leurs différentes pratiques de la dance. Tous japonais et autant de parcours originaux qui cherchent des manières à être ensemble, incarnées sur une sorte de territoire imaginaire : un Japon flottant…

The New National Theatre, Tokyo & Le Logoscope present:
In May 2013 Le Logoscope hosted JAPON Dance Project, led by Mimoza KOÏKE, artistic director of the performing arts platform and too a principal dancer of Les Ballets de Monte-Carlo.
JAPON Dance Project was formed in 2012 when Mimoza met and collaborated with four other top-flight Japanese dancer/choreographers at the All Nippon Ballet Gala – Yasuyuki ENDO (Ballet National de Marseille), Naoya AOKI (freelance dancer/choreographer), Masahiro YANAGIMOTO (freelance dancer/choreographer) and Hokuto KODAMA (Royal Swedish Ballet). All five artists are involved in the world of professional dance, either internationally or in Japan.
They decided to join forces and work together as JAPON Dance Project in collaboration with Agnès Roux, director of Le Logoscope, and Noriko Katayanagi-Bonafede, the project’s manager.
On 30 and 31 August 2014 they will present their new choreographic piece entitled CLOUD/CROWD at the NEW NATIONAL THEATRE, TOKYO.
At the invitation of the New National Theatre, Tokyo, who produced the piece, the five dancer/choreographers of Japon Dance Project based their work on the following idea: though we live under the same sky, we are experiencing life differently. The others are at the end of the line, distant, but always connected. We are so closely tied… Virtually globalised… Yet we are so far away. I am here. You are there. So how can we reach each other?
The project also combines each artist’s unique personality and their different dance practices. All Japanese, they have taken many paths and explored a variety of new ways to be together, embodied by a sort of imaginary space: a floating island of Japanese culture.
There are many excellent dancers in the world, but I was very impressed with JAPON DANCE PROJECT’s energy. These five strong personalities – all individually superb – combine to create something truly extraordinary.
